Two years after his Ambient /Organica debut EP AURA, Volum is back with a colorful blend of House/Jazztronica/Electronic genres on his second official release PUPA. Produced, mixed & mastered by Volum over the span of the world pandemic, this microalbum is a tribute to youth, innocence and the journey towards maturity. The title of the project relates to chrysalis (the stage of metamorphosis between larvae & butterfly) serving as a metaphor to this confined space of transformation.

Volum
Alexandre Nuance est un producteur, compositeur de musique, artiste visuel & designer ⌭ opérant également sous le nom de Volum. Natif de la région de Tiohtià:ke • Montréal, son style infuse une multitude de genres en passant par le Nu Jazz, Electro, House & Alternatif. Producer / DJ / Beat-maker depuis 2014, il intègre à son arsenal le Saxophone Tenor en 2021 pour délivrer de nouvelles couleurs & une chaleur à sa production autant en Studio qu’en performance LIVE. PUPA (EP) 2022 est le fruit de cette nouvelle approche & une bonne introduction à sa sonorité. Vers la fin 2022, souhaitant partager un projet alternatif non-axé vers le dance floor, il lance un premier EP sous l’alias NUANCE (EP) 2022.
Il coordonne et organise en parallèle une série de 4 événements sur la scène montréalaise avec Backwood Studio (@backwoodmtl) où il est le fondateur & directeur artistique. Son plus récent projet MOVEO (EP) 2023, créé une distinction entre ses deux catalogues avec un retour vers l’électro, deep & industrial tech house. Depuis, il oeuvre en studio sur l’enregistrement de son premier Album, ainsi que l’expérience immersive/ cinématographique de ce dernier, prévue pour Juin 2024 ✺
